Graduation Dinner(s)

From 116___04
So the night before my graduation, my parents went to the fish market and bought some seafood back for dinner. This has become our tradition now actually, any special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries, we don't go out to some Chinese restaurant anymore. Instead, my parents will head to the fish markets, get fresh seafood and cook a wonderful dinner. It works out to be a lot cheaper, tastier and much much more comfortable at home!

The next morning, I had a whole fish to myself for brunch. Just the fish by itself. Best brunch in a while!

My actual graduation was on THAT Wednesday that rained the heaviest it has ever rained in a long long time. Parramatta was completely flooded over and we had to take quite a few detours to get to the campus. Even the campus was flooded, so we weren't allowed to turn in... dreadful.

Post graduation dinner at Chilli Jam, Parramatta! We had the banquet set A. This was their entree of vegetarian deep fried spring roll, satay chicken, potato prawn. Loved the potato prawn, it's so interesting, and the satay chicken... actually, satay in general, haha.

This got B.T.'s approval, I think it was her favourite dish- Massamun beef curry. Not nearly spicy enough for my entire approval, but still good!

Chicken in Chilli Jam sauce. This was nice because of the cashews and because it's sort of their signature chilli jam. Went really well with the jasmine rice.

"Healthy shiitake mushroom stir-fry"- taken directly from their menu online. It IS healthy, it's vegetarian! Quite a few people on the table don't eat mushrooms though... =( whyyy they're healthy for you!

Sweet chilli deep fried barramundi. I loved this. It's completely de-boned, crispy exterior with a hot and flakey inside, stuffed with a spicy salad and their chilli jam of course. I would go back just for this dish actually, it's so good. The restaurant itself had great service. I initially booked for only 6 people, but in the end we had 10. No trouble at all- more chairs and tables were drawn up... we were offered more jasmine rice as well by the staff when we ran out, there was no problem getting their attention when we needed more water for the table... it was just a really pleasant experience. I'd go back for the barramundi and maybe try their duck dishes...

Card I received from my dearest sis in Singapore, amongst other gifts. Thank you dear jie! :D And yay, I'm officially graduated! Thank you so much to those who attended despite the rain and flood!
